Police: Homeless teen had Ecstasy

TRAVERSE CITY — A homeless teen is in trouble after police said he possessed several Ecstasy pills.

Grand Traverse County authorities this week charged Daniel Anthony Willis, 19, with Ecstasy possession, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or $15,000.

Traverse City police arrested Willis last month on a bench warrant after he failed to show up for an 86th District Court hearing. Upon his arrest, police said they found several doses of Ecstasy, an illegal designer drug, in his possession.

Willis also allegedly admitted his role in 20 spray-paint vandalism cases throughout the area.
