TRAVERSE CITY -- County and township officials will gather March 22 at Twin Lakes Park to discuss options on how to bail out the financially failing county septage treatment plant.
Each township board throughout the county is invited to attend the discussion, which also will touch on solid waste issues and the county board of public works' structure. The BPW oversees township sewer and water systems, the septage plant, and the county solid waste and recycling programs.
The meeting will run from noon to 3 p.m. in the Gilbert Lodge at Twin Lakes, 6800 North Long Lake Road.
