TRAVERSE CITY -- Police continue to investigate the death of a local man found near a wooded area.
A group of hikers found Daniel John Keena, 45, of Traverse City, dead around 6 p.m. Sunday near The Village at Grand Traverse Commons. They found him near a small, makeshift camp site, police said.
“There are no obvious signs of foul play,” said city police Capt. Steve Morgan. “He was definitely underclothed.”
The hikers found him on the ground wearing jeans and a T-shirt. His body was taken to Munson Medical Center, and a cause of death has yet to be determined.
