The windchill this evening and into Wednesday morning may make Traverse area residents think winter has come early this year.
Temperatures are forecast to go as low as 37 degrees, with a windchill of 29.
According to the National Weather Service, a strong north wind will continue to blow into the region at around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
Scattered showers are forecast throughout the evening until 11 p.m.
