BENZONIA -- A Benzonia man was arrested following a gas station break-in.
A state police trooper responded late Thursday to an alarm at Timberline Shell along U.S. 31. She found a broken window used to gain entry to the business, where beer and cigarettes were missing. A Benzie County sheriff's deputy responded with a tracking dog and tracked the suspect, 24, to a nearby residence.
Police arrested the man, and he's lodged in the Benzie County Jail pending a warrant from the county prosecutor's office.
