KALKASKA -- Police arrested a Fife Lake man after he allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted several officers.
The suspect, 32, was arrested Monday after police responded to a domestic violence complaint at his Springfield Township residence.
He allegedly "struggled, pushed and kicked" state troopers who made the arrest, police said.
Police placed the suspect in the back of a patrol car, where he allegedly broke vehicle components, electronic equipment and a windshield. A trooper used a Taser to control the suspect.
The suspect's girlfriend allegedly stabbed him during Monday's incident, police said.
He was transported to the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, where he allegedly spit on several officers. He later was transferred to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City for overnight observation.
He was released Tuesday, and awaits arraignment in the Kalkaska County Jail.
