TRAVERSE CITY — Police arrested a man with several outstanding warrants after a domestic assault in Traverse City's Central neighborhood.
Traverse City Police responded early Tuesday morning to a home in the 300 block of West 11th Street.
A woman told officers that her boyfriend, 26, of Traverse City, came home drunk and when they started to argue, he kicked her, threw her up against a wall and choked her.
The woman called a friend who came to the home and was fighting with the suspect when officers arrived, authorities said.
The suspect was arrested for domestic assault.
He has nine outstanding arrest warrants in 86th District Court for failure to comply with court orders and with sex offender registry requirements.
