TRAVERSE CITY -- Authorities charged a former Traverse City East Middle School custodian with three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after a student said she had sex with him.

Marc William Morris, 28, was arraigned this morning on the charges. He is being held without bond.

Morris is accused of having an "ongoing sexual relationship" with a girl, now 15, since the spring of 2010. The girl was a student at East Middle School while Morris worked there, authorities said.

The sexual encounters happened multiple times near an East Bay Township trail and in Morris' East Bay Township home, court records show.

Morris was fired from Traverse City Area Public Schools in July 2011 after he came to work drunk, his school personnel file shows.
