TRAVERSE CITY — Authorities continue to investigate a case involving a dead body found on a local beach.
Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies responded early Monday to an "older male subject" lying dead on Haserot Beach along Old Mission Peninsula, said Sheriff Tom Bensley.
Bensley wouldn't identify the man until family members are notified. Initial investigation shows the body didn't wash ashore.
