KALKASKA -- An armed robbery reported at a local gas station is under investigation.
Kalkaska Police Chief Mark Bonofiglio said authorities responded to an armed robbery report at a Marathon gas station owned by Johnson Oil Co. at 207 N. Cedar St. shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities said a male about 5 feet 8 inches tall wearing a black "hoody-type" sweatshirt entered the business with a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The suspect was described as having a slender build and wore black gloves and a face mask and fled the scene on foot.
