TRAVERSE CITY — A group of commissioners will meet today to continue discussions about the city's fire department.
A committee of Mayor Michael Estes and commissioners Jody Bergman and Michael Gillman will meet today at 1 p.m. at the Governmental Center. The group is working on details of a possible consolidation of the city's fire department with Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department.
Today is the group's second session, and the agenda includes a review of the city's "primary desires and questions" as it pursues the possible fire deal.
