TRAVERSE CITY — A broken air line on a press at the Record-Eagle production facility delayed printing and delivery of Wednesday's newspaper.
A ruptured 6-inch air line and related equipment problems shut down the presses for several hours early Wednesday morning at the newspaper's production plant along Keane Drive in Garfield Township. The press was repaired by around 4 a.m. and the last newspapers were shipped out just after 6 a.m.
Deliveries to most subscribers and retail outlets were completed by 11 a.m., according to Record-Eagle circulation staff.
