Four-person tournament play on the beaches of West Grand Traverse Bay. Sunday's tournament features co-ed open (18 teams), co-ed Recreational (12 teams) and women's (6 teams) play. Also see the Saturday, July 5, tournament for two-person men's and women's play. Pre-registration is required. Cost for four person tournament is $80.

Cofinity Old Mission Peninsula Bike Tour

A favorite annual event for many individuals and families. Registrants can choose from 22- or 35-mile routes and enjoy winding roads, rolling farmland, cherry orchards, and the blue waters of both east and west Grand Traverse bays. After the tour, sit back and enjoy a picnic lunch on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College. After June 20, prices are $30 for individuals and $15 for children under 10.

'Cherryland' Historical Film

"Cherryland" explores the path of the National Cherry Festival, from its beginnings as a religious ceremony to its heyday during the Depression, when it manipulated the media and thrust itself into the nation's limelight. It is the story of a town that was geographically isolated, depleted of its primary natural resource yet believed that a Festival could turn the town around and bring prosperity. It is also a story of a community that made tremendous sacrifices to make its town attractive and hospitable to outsiders. Free.
