Baby injured in roll-over crash

CADILLAC -- A three-month old baby was ejected from a car during a roll-over crash in Clam Lake Township.

A female driver and another young child also were injured in the accident Friday afternoon on U.S. 131 south of East 50 Road, police said.

The driver veered to the left side of the road and lost control as she attempted to get back on track, according to the Michigan State Police.

All three were taken to Mercy Hospital Cadillac, and the three-month old baby was later airlifted to Grand Rapids.

Police believe speed was a factor, but officials could not be reached on Saturday for further details.
