HARRISON -- A local woman died in a Clare County traffic crash on a snowy holiday commute.
The head-on collision happened at 12:10 p.m. on Christmas Day on M-115 near Farwell, when one vehicle lost control and crashed into the other. Three were killed and another was taken to a hospital with injuries, authorities said.
Among the dead was Camieanne Ball, 21, of Traverse City. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jeremy Neuville, 22, of Caro, was the driver of the vehicle in which Ball was a passenger. He was airlifted to a Flint hospital with critical injuries and died on Saturday.
The driver of the other vehicle, Dennis Weatherspoon, 48, from Ohio, received minor injuries. His passenger and mother-in-law, Delores Maidens, 69, of Williamston, was killed.
Traffic was stopped for several hours after the crash, caused when Weatherspoon allegedly lost control of his pickup truck while passing other traffic. The truck slid sideways into oncoming traffic and collided with a compact car driven by Neuville, according to authorities.
The accident remains under investigation and all were wearing seat belts, authorities said.
