TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City's water department will flush water mains through fire hydrants next month.
The flushing work will begin June 1 and continue through the month, from 1 to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday mornings.
A slight coloration may be noticeable in city water during the mornings, but should clear if cold water is left to run for a few minutes. Ground areas that need restoration will be tended during daylight hours.
