TRAVERSE CITY -- Police are looking for a minimum security jail inmate who walked away from his work-release program at the Goodwill Store in Garfield Township.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Department reported that Dustin Laver Miller, 23, of Traverse City, left the store at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday walking east on South Airport Road to the Racquet Club Drive area. He was last seen by witnesses getting into a blue sedan.
Miller has been in the jail since March 27 on a sentence for resisting and obstructing police, Undersheriff Nathan Alger said in a prepared release. He was assigned to the work detail on May 19. Miller is considered an escapee and anyone with information about his location is asked to call county central dispatch at 922-4550.
