---- — Omena — An exhibit of new work by Lou Heiser will open Friday, July 23, with a reception.
Heiser attended the Chicago Art Institute and later studied painting while pursuing a degree in architecture. He had a long career as an illustrator in Chicago before opening his own studio. He now maintains studios in Leelanau County and Tucson, Ariz.
The reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Tamarack Gallery on M-22, where Heiser's art may be viewed through Aug. 21. For details, call 386-5529 or visit www.tamarackartgallery.com.
