TRAVERSE CITY — A woman was taken to Munson Medical Center after she was hit by a car in a Traverse City parking lot.
Traverse City police responded at 2:30 p.m. Monday to Round's Restaurant on East Eighth Street to a car-pedestrian accident. Officers found that a 1998 Jeep driven by a 57-year-old Traverse City man was backing out of a parking spot when he hit two pedestrians behind the vehicle.
A 71-year-old Traverse City woman was taken to Munson for treatment of leg injuries. A second man, 80, complained of leg pain but was not taken to the hospital.
Police said the accident was on private property and no citations were issued.
