Man arrested on 3rd driving offense

TRAVERSE CITY — Police arrested a Traverse City man for his third drunken driving offense after he exited a local fast-food restaurant.

Grand Traverse County authorities this week charged William Francis Marshall Jr., 32, with felony drunken driving, assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer and driving on a suspended license.

Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies followed Marshall as he exited McDonald's restaurant along South Airport Road, then stopped his vehicle after he swerved between lanes, court records show. Marshall also allegedly refused to exit the patrol vehicle or stand up after deputies removed him from the backseat.
