KALKASKA — Regional transportation matters will be discussed at a public forum sponsored by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The event is Feb. 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. at The Kaliseum, off M-72 in Kalkaska. It's for members of the public, local officials and transportation agencies to review and comment on MDOT's State Transportation Improvement Program in the 13-county area. The program outlines future improvements to federally aided roads, bridges and transportation systems for Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Lake, Leelanau, Manistee, Mason, Missaukee, Osceloa and Wexford counties.
More information is available from Michael Woods, regional planner for the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments, at 929-5056.
