TRAVERSE CITY -- Soccer at Traverse City West now has its own home.
The Titans opened a new soccer facility Saturday in the rain with a 5-1 non-conference victory over Midland.
"They were excited to play despite the rain," TC West coach Jason Carmien said. "It's nice to be on campus and have locker rooms. They enjoyed playing at our school."
The 5-1 win was also a welcome change after being shut out by Rochester Hills Stoney Creek on Thursday in a 1-0 defeat.
Brady Fagan scored three times for TC West (2-2). All three came off assists from Jon Spencer.
The Titans also had goals from Sean McPherson and Jacob Trafalet while Fagan and Pat Goepfrich added assists.
Eric Nixon and Ben Casciano split time in net for the Titans.
West's JV played the first game of the day and lost 1-0. The Titans are now 4-1 on the year.
Meanwhile in Petoskey, Central picked up a pair of 2-0 wins over Marquette and Bloomfield Hills Lasher.
The Trojans (3-1) had goals from Trevor Osburn and Greg Merica in the win over Marquette while Osburn added an assist.
Miles Beauchamp scored twice 10 minutes into the match with Lasher off assists from Merica and Luke Graw.
Josh Lance and Briggs Chapman split time in net for Central in both games while Jordan Detar had a standout performance in the field.
Central's JV also won both games, beating Marquette (2-0) and Lasher (2-1) to move to 3-0 on the season.
Brandon Busicill had both goals against Marquette while Cooper Macdonell scored twice against Lasher.
