TRAVERSE CITY — Corene I. Dohm, "Corky" age 79 of Traverse City, died Dec. 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Traverse City, on June 8, 1933, the daughter of Kenneth and Martha Sheldon.
In her younger years, Corene enjoyed working at the Sandwich Grill. She later married the love of her life, Robert, and started raising their family. Together they enjoyed traveling, dancing, camping, fishing, family and friends.
The beloved wife of the late Robert Anthony, they shared over 50 years together. She was the loving mother of Toni (Cecil) Nye, the late Robert Anthony Jr. (Kathy Dohm-Beiser), Jeff (Kathleen) Dohm and Ron (Peggy) Dohm; proud grandmother of Kevin (Jennifer) Dohm, Kaili (Joe) Caron, Kaatje Dohm, Zachary (Jennifer) Ligon, Dijon (Christina) Dohm, Ron Dohm, Jr. and Robbie Dohm; great grandmother of seven and dear sister of Doris (Bob) Hardley, Verna (the late Vic) Pickard, Norma (John) Price and Dr. Duane (Mary Lynn) Sheldon. She was preceded in death by Wilma Hopkins, Mildred Peck and Beatrice Send.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bayview Wesleyan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home, Traverse City.
