TRAVERSE CITY — Port Huron topped Traverse 4-3 in a back-and-forth affair Saturday night.
The Fighting Falcons led 3-1 after the first period before the Stars outshot Port Huron 16-3 in the second period and pulled within a goal on Alexander Taulien's score.
Port Huron held a 10-6 shots advantage in the third, as Ryan Nick gave the Falcons a 4-2 lead before Eric Rivard's power-play goal drew TC back within one.
Kyle Laslo made 23 saves for Traverse City.
The North Stars are no longer in Traverse City, but soon one of their former standouts will be.
