TRAVERSE CITY —
The Traverse City North Stars dropped two games to slip just a game above .500.
The Stars (5-4-3) lost to Janesville 2-0 Saturday and 3-2 Friday, with the Jets scoring four of their five weekend goals in the final stanza.
Connor McBride and Jordan Bancroft scored Janesville’s goals Saturday evening, with McBride’s coming eight minutes into the period and Bancroft adding another with 5:43 left.
Kyle Laslo made 18 saves in the loss.
Traverse City’s 2-1 second-period lead evaporated as Janesville scored twice in the third to take a 3-2 victory Friday.
The Stars were down 1-0 before Kyle Froese and Zack Dorer notched power-play goals. Dorer, Eric Rivard and Alexander Taulien added assists.
The Jets received third-period goals by Bancroft and John Olen to take the lead. Laslo made 19 saves on 22 chances.
The game featured only seven penalties — only two of which were against TC. The North Stars were 2-for-5 with the advantage.
