FLINT — Traverse City's Kyle Laslo slammed the door shut in a shootout victory over Michigan.
Laslo stopped all four shots he faced in the shootout, and the North Stars (6-4-3) received goals by Jon Farkas and Michal Toman to bring home a 4-3 victory over the first-place club.
Kyle Schemmp -- who was among 11 North American Hockey League players recognized by NHL Scouting Bureau's "Players to Watch" list for 2012 draft-eligibles released on Oct. 21 -- scored TC's final two goals of regulation to help force overtime.
Jared VanWormer scored short-handed 2:07 into the first period to put TC up early in a period in which the Stars outshot Michigan 12-6 despite the Warriors (10-4-2) going on the stanza's only two power plays. Eric Jones added a second-period score off a Will Badner assist.
Chris Waterstreet, Toman and Robert Wiener received assists on Schemmp's goals.
Laslo ended with 26 saves.
