KALAMAZOO —
The Traverse City North Stars let a 2-0 lead evaporate Sunday in a 3-2 North American Hockey League overtime loss at Kalamazoo.
Kyle Gattelaro netted the game-winning goal at the 2:28 mark.
Zack Dorer and Eric Rivard staked Traverse City to an early 2-0 lead. Mitchell Snider assisted on Dorer's tally while Nathan Harris had the helper on Rivard's goal.
Kalamazoo answered with a goal late in the first period by Chad McDonald, then tied it midway through the third when Andrew Garves scored.
Traverse City outshot Kalamazoo 32-24, including 15-8 in the third period.
Kyle Laslo stopped 21 shots for the North Stars (5-1-2), who host Michigan on Saturday evening at Centre ICE Arena.
