COPEMISH — Joyce "Meme" Treaster, 62, passed away at her home on the morning of Feb. 6, 2012.
Joyce was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Tecumseh, to E.J. and Betty Jean Snay. She married John Treaster on June 16, 1973, in Dexter.
Joyce had a great love for gardening and cooking, but most of all, for her grandchildren and her family.
Joyce is survived by her husband, John; her two daughters, Judy (James) Leach and Jean (Kipp) Treaster-Kline; six grandchildren, Jonathon Leach, Emma Leach, Gabby Kline, Katie Kline, Kali Kline and Ethan Kline; two sisters, Linda (John) Szegda and Sue (Dave) Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Gabriel Durbin; and sisters, Judy Snay and Carol Porter.
Cremation has taken place. There are no services for Joyce per the family wishes.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hitesman—Holdship Funeral Home, Cadillac.
