COPEMISH — Edwin "Eddie" Herbert Selander, 85, of Copemish, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, in Tucson, Ariz. He was born July 10, 1926, in Copemish, the son of Charles and Ina (Westman) Selander.
Eddie retired from Bennett Pump Company in Muskegon.
He was a member of the Northwest Michigan Engine and Thresher Club.
In his spare time Eddie enjoyed canoeing, riding bikes, camping and traveling.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Grace, of Copemish; four daughters, Cheryl Selander, of Tucson, Ariz., Lynn (Kenny) Cain, of Tucson, Ariz., Gayle (Bob) Norman, of Muskegon, and Darla (Ernie Edwards) Selander, of Copemish; three grandsons; one great-grandson; his sister, Ellen O'Connell, of Montague; his twin brother, Elmer (Vera) Selander, of Copemish; his brother, Alvin Selander, of Copemish; several nieces and nephews; four stepchildren; and one sister-in-law, Effie Selander, of Houghton Lake.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Agnes Buffenbarger; and three brothers, Roland, Charles and Harold Selander.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Cleon Township Cemetery in Copemish.
