Beverly Iott

TRAVERSE CITY — Beverly Ann Iott, 76, of Traverse City, died peacefully at a hospice house on Aug. 15, 2012, surrounded by her family.

Bev will be remembered for the love she had for her family, friends and God … and for her oatmeal bread.

Surviving Bev are her children, Dennis (Dawn), of Kalkaska, Karen Fischer (Randy), of Ottawa Lake, Melanie Vergote (Charley), of Kalkaska, Cathie Rourke (Paul), of Bloomfield Hills, Gina Gallihugh (Ron), of Sterling, Va., Sheri (Gordon Sly), of Grand Rapids, Greg (Bonnie), of Kalkaska, and Chris (Amanda), of Jackson; as well as her beloved friend and former husband, Ralph. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Scharis Nyburg (Don); and brother, Bob Brown (Jean).

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Wadsworth; and her father, Ernest Hills.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at New Hope Community Church in Williamsburg. A celebration of Bev’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at New Hope, with a luncheon to follow. A private burial will take place.

Memorials may be directed to Detroit Cristo Rey, a college prep high school for economically disadvantaged students; or Munson Hospice House, Traverse City.
