Yvonne Agnes Rosam

THOMPSONVILLE — Yvonne Agnes Rosam, 61, of Thompsonville, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at her home after a four-year battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 4, 1950, in Detroit, to Ralph and Lenore (Wolcott) Roberts.

Yvonne was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1964. Her love for Jehovah and belief in the truth of his word, the Bible, guided her entire life course. She was an active preacher of that word until the very end of her life. Her faith was reflected in how she cared for her family and friends and all she came in contact with.

Yvonne spent her working years as a house cleaner, most recently in the private sector for many clients in the Beulah and Frankfort areas until forced to sell her business due to failing health.

Yvonne is survived by her loving husband, Garry. Feb. 6 would have marked 41 years of marriage. She is also survived by her father, Ralph Roberts, of Thompsonville; her sons, Garry, of Traverse City, and Jason (Jennifer), of Thompsonville; as well as two grandchildren, Isaac and Evelyn, of Thompsonville; her siblings, Gary (Norma) Roberts, of Williamsburg, Beverly (James) Reed, of Copemish, Nancy (Jack) Soper, of Bath, and Laura (James) Coffman, of Navato, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Lenore.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Copemish.

The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements; www.terwilligerfuneralhome.com.
