SUTTONS BAY — Olga Sophia Czubak, 96, of Suttons Bay, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Boardman Lake Glens.

Olga was born on Oct. 9, 1915, in Dubois, Pa., the daughter of Marcel and Sophia (Kominski) Kohinski. On Feb. 15, 1941, in Detroit, she married Louis F. Shaberly, who preceded her in death on June 7, 1973. On Nov. 11, 1977, in Harper Woods, she married Walter Czubak, who preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 2006.

Olga loved her family and her home. She enjoyed music and was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Suttons Bay.

Olga is survived by her children, David (Pam) Shaberly and Lou Anne (Oscar) Booker; grandchildren, Jason (Karen) and Justin (Jocelyn) Shaberly; and great-grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Blake David and Morgan Jayne.

In addition to her husbands, Olga was preceded in death by her siblings, Cecilia, Lottie, Mary, Stella, Leona, Helen, Joseph, Jennie and Marcel; and grandchildren, Lorri Ann and Teri Lynn.

A visitation was held Feb. 9 at the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay. Burial will be at a later date at St. Michael Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Michael Church, PO Box 9, Suttons Bay, MI 49682 and/or to Munson Hospice, 1105 Sixth St., Traverse City, MI 49684.
