Frank Hochstein

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Frank Hochstein died June 21, 2012. At his bedside was his adored wife, confidante and dancing partner of 57 years, Patricia. He is also survived by three children, Karen Plough (Richard), Brian, and Kathleen DeYoung (Dennis), along with two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Frank was proud to have served his country in Korea and upon his discharge, began his career at General Motors. He retired after 20 years and moved his family from Detroit to Glen Lake, where he and Pat purchased and operated the Glen Lake Inn. During their 25 years in the restaurant business, they established a fiercely dedicated base of both customers and employees, most of whom remained lifelong friends.

Frank and Pat retired to Columbus, Ohio, where they immediately became engaged in their new community. They were soon welcomed and loved by many.

Frank cherished his reputation as a man of honor and character, and hoped to be remembered simply as "a good man." He is. A doting husband, loving father, loyal friend and kind listener is lost to many and truly missed.

Prosit.

Respecting Frank's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service.

As a fortunate recipient of an incredible guide dog, Frank's memory would be honored by any suggestion or contribution made to Pilot Dogs, Inc., 625 West Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215.

Arrangements were handled by Maeder-Quint-Tiberi Funeral Home of Columbus, Ohio, (614) 444-1185.
