Robert Drulard

LOVELAND, Colo. — Bob Drulard passed away after a long illness on March 29, 2012, in Loveland, Colo.

Bob was born in Detroit on June 22, 1936, the oldest of three children.

He spent his high school years in northern Michigan, playing basketball for Central and Traverse City high schools.

Bob married Marie Lyon, his high school sweetheart, on Jan. 19, 1957.

He graduated from Michigan State University and began working for General Motors at the Fisher Body Plant in Grand Rapids.

Bob enjoying Little League coaching and working with charitable groups while living in the Grand Rapids area.

After his children left for college, Bob worked for GM in Detroit as a senior executive and then later for EDS in Plano, Texas.

Bob and Marie retired in Loveland, Colo., in 1996.

Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening, cheering for all MSU sports and traveling.

In his retired years, Bob volunteered for various board positions, where he was greatly valued for his mediation skills.

Bob will always be remembered for his impeccable manners and concern for others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Drulard; and his wife of 55 years, Marie.

He is survived by his brother, Fred Drulard (Phyllis); his sister, Suzy Hamilton (Earl); son, Jack, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Kathy, of Denver, Colo.; son-in-law, Dr. Mark Bishard; and grandchildren, Blake and Kristina Bishard. He is also survived by four nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service is being held in Traverse City on Aug. 4, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road, Traverse City, MI.
