FORT GRATIOT — Merl E. Barger, age 67, of Fort Gratiot, died Oct. 10, 2012.
He was born June 9, 1945, in Pontiac. He married Natalie Baatz May 22, 1982, in Waterford.
Merl served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Barger is survived by his wife, Natalie; children, Merl E. Barger, Teresa L. Barger, Roy A. (Lisa Mercier) Barger and Russell Baatz; grandchildren, John Rasho, Sofia Daly and Carmen Barger; and siblings, Linda (Ron) Merchant and Beverly Erichsen.
He was predeceased by his parents, Merl S. and Alma Barger.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in the Colonial Woods Missionary Church, Port Huron.
