TRAVERSE CITY — Carol Lee (McAndrews) Goike, 62, passed away peacefully in her sleep Jan. 1, 2013.
Carol was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Jan. 15, 1950. Carol was married to Thomas Vincent Goike on Feb. 1, 1985; they were married 27 years.
Carol worked at United Technologies for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed NASCAR, spending every moment with her adoring husband, visiting with her loved ones and sitting with her dog, Sammy.
Carol is survived by her mother, Agnes McAndrews; her sister, Patty Riker; two daughters, Stephanie Bier and Heather Johnson; two stepsons, Jeremiah and Mathew Goike; and four grandchildren, Derek, Naomi, Nate and Drew.
Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Grubb; and her father, James McAndrews.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 7, 2013, at The Orchard Church, 4288 US 31 S., Traverse City, MI 49685. The family will greet friends at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Bruce Sheets of the Orchard Church will be officiating.
