SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. — Darwin V. Putnam passed away on Jan. 9, 2013, at McCall Hospice House. He was the son of the late Vera and Otis Putnam, of Northport.
He was in the automotive industry for most of his working life and was a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church.
He volunteered at Hillcrest Hospital for five years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Putnam; children, Deborah Stockbridge and husband, David, Richard Putnam and wife, Glenda, Greg Putnam and wife, Susan, and Dennis Putnam and wife, Tracy; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Gerald Putnam and wife, Iva.
He was predeceased by one sister and one brother.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 12, 2013, at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn, S.C.
