Sheila attended Elk Rapids High School and graduated in 1974. She took classes at NMC in sign language to help with some customers who were hard of hearing and also did some volunteer work in sign language at NMC.
Sheila tried to give blood when ever possible and was also on the bone marrow donors list until she found out about her medical problem.
She left behind Duane, her husband and friend of 36 years; and her son, Scott Matthew, age 32. She is survived by sister, Gloria (Bill) White, of Middleport, N.Y.; brother, Ronald Smith, of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Robert (Janet) Smith, of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews around the country.
