KINGSLEY — Cynthia Anne Olson, of Kingsley, 50, passed away in the early hours of Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, in the company of her loved ones in Traverse City. Cindy was born in Detroit on July 8, 1962, to the loving parents, William and Betty Goodfallow, of Leland.

In 1980, Cindy graduated from Leland High School.

Cindy loved to spend her time outdoors. Her warm weather months were spent basking in the sun on the beaches of Northern Michigan's lake shore and camping around the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. In the winter she enjoyed sledding and skiing with family on Sugarloaf Mountain.

She also was a fan of music and art. Whenever she could Cindy attended live music festivals and the school band concerts of her sons. She also enjoyed the hobby of sketching and had taken an interest in calligraphy.

But her true passion was her family. She was a proud mother of two and was blessed with many nieces and nephews. Every holiday was spent in the embrace of all of her loved ones and it was where she was truly happiest.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Stanley Olson; two sons, Jeremy and Jakob; her parents; and siblings, Nancy Perzanowski, Wayne Goodfallow and Doug Goodfallow.

In hopes of helping others, Cindy chose to donate the gift of her organs so that those in need could benefit from her passing.

A gathering and celebration of her life will take place on Friday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Life Story Funeral Home in Traverse City.

In memory of Cindy and in support of her beloved family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanley Olson in care of Life Story Funeral Home.
