TRAVERSE CITY — John Ernest Ingram, 72, of Traverse City, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Munson Medical Center, with his sister at his side. John was born on Feb. 26, 1940, in Wyandotte, to the late John Thomas and Helen Rhoda Jean (Stickney) Ingram.
John honorably served our country in the United States Air Force. After his time in the service he went to work for Ford Motor Company as a millwright.
John enjoyed camping and especially loved living out of his motor home for many years.
Fishing, photography and hunting with his camera brought great joy to John. John also cherished the time he spent with his great-nieces and nephews.
They held a very special place in his heart.
John will be missed by his family and his friends. Surviving John are his sisters, Leora Izatt and Helen Karen Schumacher; nephews and nieces, Keith (Helen Luce) Izatt, Robert (Tracy) Izatt vand Lela (Frank) Perriello; great-nephews and nieces, Gabe, Noah, Olivia, Elleana and Sophia.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
