TRAVERSE CITY — Marion Safronoff of Traverse City passed away Dec. 15, 2012. She was born June 11, 1921, in Beloit, Wis., to Millicent and Samuel Cassidy.
Marion married Carl Safronoff in Seattle, Wash., in 1942. Together they started and operated Cherryland Cut Stone Company in Traverse City and raised their six children, Madelyn Safronoff, of Elk Rapids, Karen Braun, of Traverse City, Gary Safronoff, of Santa Monica, Calif., Joel Safronoff, of Acme, Greg Safronoff, of Traverse City, and Ross Safronoff, of St. Louis, Mo.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Safronoff; grandson, Brock Safronoff; granddaughter, Julie Safronoff; and son, Gary Safronoff.
She is survived by daughters, Madelyn and Karen; sons, Joel, Greg and Ross; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
