Michael Leonard Clous

BUCKLEY — Michael Leonard Clous, 66, of Buckley, died on Jan. 31, at home in the same house in which he was born on Feb. 17, 1945, to Leonard and Geneva (Pelton) Clous.

Mike graduated from Hannah St. Mary's School.

He was a lifelong Buckley resident, farmer and member of the Buckley Old Engine Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with family.

He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Hittle, of Traverse City, and Madonna Clous, of Green Bay, Wis.; sons, Brad Clous, of Mesick, and Jeff (wife, Becky) Clous, of North Carolina; stepson, Brian Coates, of Buckley; stepdaughter, Diane Cox, of Iron Mountain; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; companion, Char; and many aunts and uncles.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sandy.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Traverse City on Friday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m., with visitation two hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Buckley Old Engine Club or the charity of one's choice.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center.
