DEWITT — Doris Caroline (Hunter) Smith, born Aug. 14, 1926, to Robert and Leila Irene (Yearwood) Hunter, died Dec. 6, 2012.
Doris grew up in Lewisburg, Tenn., married Harry R. Smith, lived in Detroit and later retired to the Fife Lake area.
She earned a BSN degree and was a registered nurse in Detroit and Kalkaska.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Valli (Gordon) Ashbay, of Grand Ledge, and Nancy (Bruce) Griblier, of Florida; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Leila Zahorsky, Frances Price and Maxine Dickey.
Cremation has taken place. No services will be held.
