---- — SAVANNAH, Ga. — Paula Jurkovich Cunningham Clark, 68, of Kewadin, formerly of Peoria, passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Hospice Savannah, in Savannah, Ga., with her family by her side.
She was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Peoria, to Frank F. and Lillian (Jaksetich) Jurkovich. She married Keith E. Clark June 28, 1991, in Eureka, Ill. He died Oct. 2, 2011, in Traverse City.
Surviving is one son, Michael (Carissa) Cunningham of Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Jill (Dan) Tipton of Peoria; two stepsons, Keith (Tyra) Clark of Washington and Timothy (Lisa) Clark of Bloomington; two stepdaughters, Rochelle (Paul) Waggoner of Pimona, Mo., and Renee (Shawn) McSpadden of Hammond, La.; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Veronica (Richard) Ruggles of Savannah, Ga.; and two brothers, Frank Jurkovich of California, and Raymond Jurkovich of The Netherlands.
In addition to her husband, one son, C. Timothy Cunningham, and one granddaughter preceded her in death.
Paula worked in the Data Processing Center for Caterpillar Inc for 23 years, where she made many friends prior to her retirement in January 2000.
Prior to Keith’s death, Paula and Keith made their retirement home in Schuss Mountain and Kewadin, where they enjoyed golfing and boating. They also enjoyed many winter months in Panama City Beach, Fla., where they played golf, hosted visits from family and made many friends. In addition, she enjoyed her grandchildren, family, friendships and watercoloring.
A memorial visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday March 9, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Peoria, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Fr. Christopher Layden will be the celebrant for the Mass. Paula’s ashes will be buried next to her son “Timmy” at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
