Mildred Louise Robertson

TRAVERSE CITY — Mildred L. Robertson, 89, of Traverse City, passed away June 20, 2012, at Orchard Creek Assisted Living. Mildred was born on Oct. 9, 1922, in Traverse City, to the late William and Gladys (Semrow) Dunn.

Mildred worked for the City of Traverse City billing department.

In her spare time she enjoyed baking and was famous for her cinnamon rolls. Mildred was proud of her yard and flower garden. She was an avid Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan and loved to keep in touch with her extended family. Above all else, Mildred enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Sr. in 1991; her sister, Bina (Byron) Anger; sister-in-law, Jean Dunn; and stepson, Clyde "Sonny" Robertson Jr.

Surviving Mildred are her sons, Tom (Mary) Robertson, of Saline, and Jerry (Patti) Robertson, of Reddick, Fla.; stepdaughter, Alice Stackhouse, of Traverse City; sister, Dorothy (David W.) Youker, of Grawn; brother, William Dunn, of Traverse City; grandchildren, Josh (Trish) Robertson, of Ocala, Fla., Drew (Kate) Robertson, of Savannah, Ga., and Heather (Ben) Stout, of Ocala, Fla.; special aunt and companion, Lois Johnson, of Traverse City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held today, June 22, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The funeral celebrating Mildred's life will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2012, also at the funeral home, at 2:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mildred may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.

The family would like to thank both Hospice of Michigan and Orchard Creek Assisted Living for their extraordinary care, compassion and dedication to Mildred.
