GRAWN — Duayne A. Jaynes, age 47, of Grawn, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012, at his home. He was born Dec. 29, 1964, in Columbus, Ohio, to Oakley and Diana (Leach) Jaynes.

He graduated from school in Plano, Texas, in 1983.

On Dec. 17, 2010, Duayne married Rhonda Wheeler in Traverse City.

Ron worked for Walgreens as an assistant manager; he was loved by all who knew and worked with him.

Duayne was a huge sports fan. He loved watching football, basketball and baseball, but nothing was more important than his beloved Tigers!

Duayne is survived by his wife, Rhonda; two children, Jessica (Derrick) Paez, of Rocksborrow, N.C., and Dustin (Brandie Damon) Jaynes, of Buckley; two stepchildren, Jessica Oswalt, of Lansing, and Eric Oswalt, of Traverse City; two grandchildren, Kai Paez and Christopher Oswalt Chase, and two on the way; three siblings, Sherry (John) Turner, Stacey Lee (Kelly) Jaynes-Cronk and Gabrielle Elizabeth Lane; stepfather, Leon (Jan) Lane; nieces, Cameron, Dani and McKenzee Cronk, and Ashley, Samy Jo and Teri-Lynn Turner.

Duayne was preceded in death by his parents, Oakley Jaynes and Diana Lane; grandparents, Gladys and Oscar Leach; and a granddaughter, Joslyn Marie Paez.

A visitation will be held today, July 28, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Sunday, July 29, 2012, from 2 to 4p.m., at the Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley. A funeral will be held Monday, July 30, 2012, at 1 p.m., also at the funeral home.
