TRAVERSE CITY — George William Bergdoll, 81, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at Bortz Health Care in Traverse City, surrounded by his loving family and beloved dog, Toby.
George is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Deanna (Kim) Elliott, Cindy (Donald) Preli, Liz Bergdoll, Richard Miller and Dawn (Eric) Aberbach; and four grandchildren.
Mass will be held for George at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Fr. James Hayden will serve as celebrant. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, with military honors by the Cherryland VFW Post 2780.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to AC Paw.
