TRAVERSE CITY — Russell G. Wright, age 71, of Traverse City, died suddenly Oct. 15 at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, Ill.

Mr. Wright was a resident of Traverse City and was formerly of Troy. He grew up in Farmington.

Mr. Wright had worked for IBM for 30 years, retiring in 1996.

Mr. Wright was a member of the Elks Club in Traverse City.

Mr. Wright is survived by three children, Virginia (Murad) Erguven, of Lombard, Ill., Robert (Susan) Wright, of Northville, and Terri Green, of White Lake; nine grandchildren, Shannon Wright, of Northville, Robert II (Bianca) Wright, of Northville, Hannah (Adam) Tomaszewski, of Taylor, Christopher Farraj, of Troy, Serra Erguven, of Lombard, Ill., Andrea Erguven, of Lombard, Ill., Austin Wright, of Rochester, Brandon Wright, of Rochester, and Cameron Wright, of Rochester; and one great-grandchild, Riley David Post, of Northville.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (nee Hunn); and his brother, the Rev. James B. Wright.

Arrangements are pending at Brust Funeral Home, Lombard, Ill. Memorial service are also pending in Traverse City.
