TRAVERSE CITY — James S. Lahti, of Traverse City, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. He was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Eveleth, Minn., the son of Matthew and Hilda (Jacobson) Lahti.
He was a lab supervisor at Harbor Optical. Jim enjoyed woodworking with his wife, Cindy; they built most of their furniture.
He liked gardening and giving the produce to family and friends.
Jim was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by his wife and friends.
A private burial will be held at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
