FIFE LAKE — Jean M. Williams, age 86, took the hand of Jesus and was escorted into heaven on Jan. 28, 2013. Jean was born on Feb. 9, 1926, to Jack and Josephine Kirkpatrick in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.
Jean graduated from Soo High School with a perfect attendance record, "walking it" every day in the "Soo" weather.
Jean was a longtime member and active in the Fife Lake United Methodist Church, where she was known as someone who loved serving the Lord, a good cook and someone who spoke her mind.
In her retirement years, Jean liked to golf and fish, always the last to take her line out of the water.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Leon; one daughter, Janice Marie; two sons, Jeffery S. and his wife, Donna, and Kirk P.; two grandchildren, Jeffery A. and Sara Jean; a brother, John Kirkpatrick and his wife, Sharon; a brother-in-law, James Eisenhauer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jane; and her brother, Jack W.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the spring at the Fife Lake Church.
